Questo costume è stato decisamente una corsa contro il tempo, non sarebbe mai stato possibile senza il prezioso aiuto dei miei favolosi amici. Si parlava del gruppo Burlesque già da parecchio tempo ma non avevo avuto modo di iniziare il mio costume a causa dei miei studi, ho dovuto comprimere tutti i miei esami nella prima parte di Gennaio per poter partecipare a questo bellissimo evento. Siamo andate in giro a Parigi per comprare le stoffe (OMG OMG OMG i negozi di stoffe di Parigi sono favolosi!! Sono così grandi!! C'è così tanta roba!! Li adoro!!!) e abbiamo fatto tutto quanto in soli 2 giorni! Delphine mi ha aiutata nel saltare inutili passaggi durante la costruzione del corsetto, Ivy mi ha dato la possibilità di lavorare a casa sua con lei e le altre e di poter usare la sua macchina da cucire, non sarò mai grata abbastanza per la sua disponibilità ogni volta! Io non me la sono sentita, ma le altre hanno persino preparato un bellissimo skit su "Hanky Panky" di Madonna che hanno ballato alla mezzanotte durante il ballo, Lena ha fatto un capolavoro con la coreografia! E' stato davvero divertente, come sempre, non ci sono parole per esprimere quanto sia splendido per me passare giorni così, semplicemente cucendo e scherzando con i miei amici francesi, davvero. Questo costume è decisamente fuori dal mio stile, ma complessivamente mi è piaciuto davvero molto il progetto e ci siamo divertite nonostante qualche intoppo qua e là. Spero vi piaccia!

This costume was definitely a race against time,it would have never been possible without the help of my great friends. The Burlesque Group project was up since long time, but I could not begin the costume due to my studies, I had to squeeze all of my exams into the first part of January in order to partecipate in this great event. We went around in Paris to buy the fabrics (OMG OMG OMG Parisian fabric shops are heaven!! They're so big!! So much stuff!! I just love them!!!) and we did the whole thing within just 2 days! Delphine helped me by cutting the unnecessary processes during the making of the corset, and Ivy gave me the possibility to work with her and the others at her place and to borrow her sewing machine, I will never be thankful enough for her helpfulness every time! I didn't feel like doing it, but the others even prepared a really good skit on "Hanky Panky" from Madonna to be danced at midnight of the ball, Lena did an amazing job with the choreography! It was really a great time, as always, I just cannot express how pleasing it is to spend those days sewing and having fun with my french friends, really. This is totally not my style of costumes, but overall I really liked the project and we had fun despite of some little troubles here and there. Enjoy!
